Enrollment in College

  • Enrollment in associate’s degree or certificate courses through Mass Bay Community College
  • Promote independence with accessing campus resources such as the Disability Center, Tutoring Center and Mass Bay Library
  • Educational coaching to strengthen self-advocacy, time-management, organization, self monitoring, and problem solving skills
  • Develop communication skills with professors and other campus personnel
  • Build independent study habits
  • Support functional academic skills such as reading syllabi, writing professional emails, and effective use of AI tools

Social & Community Connections

  • Build social-pragmatic skills to develop healthy & meaningful social relationships
  • Navigate social boundaries, friendships, group dynamics and internet safety
  • Community access trips such as travel training, ride-share practice, independent shopping and errands
  • Foster confidence in navigating the wider community

Life Skills for Independence

  • Managing personal finances, paying bills and reading leases
  • Building effective routines & habits
  • Understanding personal healthcare and insurance
  • Scheduling and attending medical appointments
  • Shopping and household management
