Welcome to Learning Prep School.

Founded in 1970, LPS is a remarkable school in West Newton, MA for middle & high school students who learn differently. We provide a safe, supportive, language-based learning environment for students with complicated learning profiles. Our students are wonderfully complex and varied learners who are linked by their common desire to learn at a school that understands them, their resiliency in the face of academic challenge, and their warm acceptance of all people.

Many features of Learning Prep School set us apart: our 3:1 student-teacher ratio, our speech and language department, our commitment to language-based practices, our occupational therapists, our transition
program, our counseling team. No student at LPS is pulled out for any of these services. These are wrapped around each of our students and offer a level of differentiation that is truly exceptional. Learning Prep makes
