LPS celebrates Pride Day
On Friday, October 11, our community will be celebrating Pride Day, a day dedicated to supporting individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community as they feel comfortable sharing their authentic selves, sometimes for the first time.
LPS is an inclusive, welcoming community and we want to make sure that's explicit throughout the year! Everyone shows support and visibility in different ways, and we invite our community to support the cause. A few ideas of how to show your support include:
- Wearing rainbow/tie dye clothing
- Having a rainbow ribbon pinned to your shirt
- Spending a few minutes talking with your student about Pride or your support
- Wearing colors/badges/etc. of any of the LGBTQIA+ flags
Pride stickers or rainbow ribbon pins will be available for everyone if they'd like to show visibility or allyship.
