High School Beach Day

On Friday, June 12 the High School will have our annual Beach Day!

This event is held at Lake Cochituate State Park in Natick and has always been one of the most fun-filled days for students. All High School staff attend Beach Day, as well as a school nurse. The cost of this event is $15.00 per student.

We hope that students will be able to go in the water, but it will be dependent on the DCR water quality report that day. Students should wear comfortable shoes, and bring a towel. Although bathing suits are encouraged for swimming, they need to be appropriate for a school trip.  We also ask that you send sunscreen with your student, because there is no protective shade on the beach. Windbreakers or sweatshirts are a good idea as well, as there is often a strong breeze off the lake and we arrive early in the morning. Headphones, speakers, phones, and hats are acceptable at this event.

Lunch will be provided for all students; options will consist of beef and vegetarian burgers, potato chips, watermelon, and beverages. Food allergies will be taken into account.

If a student is absent on Beach Day, LPS must be notified by 8:15 am that day, and your money will be returned. 

Seniors are invited to attend, but they are not required to. They may drive their own vehicles, be dropped off and picked up, or come to LPS that morning and take the bus with students and staff.  If seniors chose to drive themselves they will have to pay for their own parking, which is $8.  Seniors should still complete this form so we have accurate headcounts for lunch. 

No student will be denied attendance because of an inability to pay- please reach out if you need assistance with the cost. All students need to complete the Permission Slip below and send payment of $15 to the attention of Colin Sanborn no later than Thursday, June 4.
