Fall Fest Success!

Fall Fest Success!

What a day! Our first Fall Fest was a huge success, with 115 attendees joining us for food, games, and plenty of school spirit. We were treated to crisp autumn weather, a little chilly by mid-day but thankfully no rain, and a wonderful turnout of families, students, and staff. It was the largest turnout we’ve had in many years, and the energy on campus was incredible!

A huge thank you to our amazing parent volunteers: Catherine Flynn P’30Ingrid Glassoff P’29Jane Kennedy P’28Molly Lawless P’33Wynne Meyer P’30Dayanna Moreno P’29, Katherine Munz P’28Christina Mullin P’32Kim Phillips P’30, and Ilana Szobel P’29 for helping bring this event to life.

We were also so grateful to have members of our faculty, staff, and facilities team contribute to the success of the event, including Hannah DelagiDaniel HujerNicholas HurKurt Mollering and his wife MicaPeter SauriolErin SarkarMike ShammasSusan Smith-PowersGeorge Taliadouros, and Marianne Verhaegen and her husband Travis, along with their adorable daughter Stevie, who served as our unofficial mini mascot for the day. Their involvement helped the event run seamlessly. We also want to thank Korina Martin and Cate Wilson for their roles in preparing for the day.

Busy Bee Jumpers and Fenway Favorites Food Truck were new additions this year, and the Trail Card was a hit. Families explored campus, played together, and earned prizes such as Panther Pride slips, LPS merch, or an ice cream treat. A special shoutout to Marge Flynn ’30  for keeping the vibe high all day with a fantastic playlist (https://spotify.link/yzaE80fZRXb)

We’re excited to share that we’ve reached more than a quarter of our goal toward the purchase of our new panther mascot costume. Many thanks to Whole Foods Newtonville for donating water for the event. You can still contribute to the mascot costume, nominate your favorite mascot name, or share event feedback using the following link: https://forms.gle/hRWCcs65mDQr9LFv7

We can’t wait to make Fall Fest an annual tradition!
