Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) initiatives are an ongoing process at Learning Prep. Our goals are to become a community that celebrates diversity, promotes equity, is inclusive for all our families and students, and promotes justice. Earlier this school year, parents/guardians were invited to complete a survey for Learning Prep to begin gathering data about DEIJ.
At this point, we would like to encourage families to join our DEIJ Thought Partners group, as we work to make our community more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and just. We welcome and appreciate parent/guardian feedback, as we thoughtfully plan our next steps for DEIJ initiatives.
On Thursday, April 28, LPS is having a Curriculum Night, starting at 6:00. We're going to have our first DEIJ Thought Partners meeting immediately before that, at 5:15 in the HS at LPS. We would like this to be a jumping off point where LPS can inform families about what we've done so far related to our DEIJ initiatives, discuss how we could best support families, and get some feedback from you. Please email Michelle Cuddy (firstname.lastname@example.org) to RSVP.
