Covid testing available on campus

09 Sep 2021 12:08 PM | Anonymous

Through DESE and CIC Health, we will be able to offer Covid testing on campus this year under the following 2 scenarios:

1. Symptoms develop on campus. If a student develops Covid symptoms while on campus, they can go to our nurse, Nancy Ishkanian, for a rapid test.

2. Close contact on campus. Unvaccinated, close contacts can remain in school and do not have to quarantine through DESE's new Test and Stay Policy. For 7 days from the date of exposure, unvaccinated students and staff who were close contacts can remain in school if they don't have symptoms, they wear masks, and they take a rapid antigen test on each school day and receive a negative result. We will be providing these tests during school days. There is more information about Test and Stay on this linked document.

You can find attached our Covid protocols for this year. It combines our masking, distancing, and eating policies with DESE's guidelines around quarantine and close contacts. This document will be housed on the website as well. As guidance changes, we will update it and inform you of any significant alterations.

If you have any questions about this program, please be in touch with our COO Gretchen Petersen (gpetersen@learningprep.org) or our nurse Nancy Ishkanian (nishkanian@learningprep.org.)
