  2. To provide enrichment programs to supplement academic areas, provide entertainment for the students, and support parent education. These programs will be funded through Parent Council fund-raising activities.
  3. To explore grants and other funding possibilities to further assist with acquiring computer technology and equipment.
  4. To investigate, in conjunction with administration, new topics presented to the Parent Council that may provide for enrichment of our children's school experience, through various means.
  5. To raise and discuss current issues affecting our children. (i.e., MCAS, curriculum frameworks, transition services, etc.)

What we are not

We are not a political action committee. We do not provide a forum for advocacy or legal issues. The Parent Council is also not a vehicle for assessing or critiqueing the educational philosophy of LPS. Any issues regarding legal advice or academic concerns are directed to administration for clarification.
