| During
this past semester students used the Ellis Island online database
to choose an immigrant from the 1800’s. Once they had selected
a person, they were required to create a fictional character and
use them as a means to explain each of the various” hoops”
that the immigrants had to pass through in order to be deemed “safe”
for entry into the United States. The following are the webpage
