Student Council

Student Council meets once a month and is responsible for providing extra-curricular activities and organizing in-school events that enhance the LPS program, promote positive socialization opportunities and encourage school spirit. Activities include school-wide field trips to exciting and educational destinations in and around Boston, such as the Museum of Science, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Aquarium. We also invite enrichment speakers to come to the school and to help provide end of the year festivities. After school dances are held three times a year for Middle School students to provide an opportunity to socialize with peers outside of school hours in a safe environment. A school-wide book fair and many bake sales help raise funds to provide opportunities for the students.

Staff advisors work closely with Elementary and Middle School students to organize events. Middle School students elect representatives from their homeroom.
