Required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education: 15.1 Parental Involvement and Parents’ Advisory Group - 18.05(4)(a)- The program shall have a written plan for involving parents and shall have a Parents’ Advisory Group that shall advise the program on matters that pertain to the education, health and safety of the students in the program. The program shall designate a staff person to support the Parents’ Advisory Group.
Learning Prep School Plan:The Parent Advisory Group (PAG) of Learning Prep School (LPS) shall advise the school on the education, health and safety of students and LPS encourages this feedback. The PAG exists to provide a channel for parent participation in the review of school policy, programs and philosophy. LPS has designated key staff, the Principals of the High School and Elementary/Middle School, to support the PAG. The role of the LPS Principals is to support the needs of the PAG and help facilitate communication and interactions between the PAG and LPS. At least twice a year, the PAG will arrange an evening meeting with LPS parents/guardians. The involvement plan for the Parent Advisory Group is as follows:
