Computer Lab

Our high school program is aligned with the Massachusetts Instructional Technology Frameworks. The IT program strives to present technology as a resource for reinforcing content area lessons; as students use computers to explore language arts, math, science, social studies, etc., they also develop valuable technological skills.

The IT staff consists of 3.5 instructional technology specialists, and a .5 computer technician. Instructional Technology is offered to all students and the typical class meets for 45 minutes twice per week. All students receive typing tutorial support and are exposed to the components of Microsoft Suite. In depth projects for older students may include the use of Adobe Photo Shop and Microsoft Publisher. Excel is used to explore making a budget. Digital photography classes and use of i-movie are popular classes.
